The Monitoring Committee met on 29 April

The Central Baltic programme's Monitoring Committee, consisting of Member State representatives, met on 29 April 2020. The meeting was held online for the first time. In addition to meeting each other virtually, the online meeting also re-defined the concept of a 'group photo' (see picture).

In the meeting, our Head of Managing Authority, Merike Niitepõld gave an update about programme developments, presented the Annual Implementation Report and provided information regarding the continuation of the national Contact Points network.

It will not come to you as any surprise that I am writing this text at home. In only a few weeks the day-to-day life has changed radically. The changes came to the Central Baltic region at slightly different times and in different ways, but the big picture is the same.

While many things stand the test of time, Internet is one of those places, where development takes place at a rapid pace. Alas, our website and database require maintanence to better serve our users and also reflect on the current state of the programme.

Our national Contact Points are the link between the programme and the regions. They follow projects closely to share/spread project results and to communicate the benefits of cross-border cooperation. A while back we introduced you to our national Contact Point network trough a campaign called "Contact Points in spotlight". Now that we have new collagues in the network, it is time to bring the series back.
