International students enjoyed their stay at maritime enterprises in Rauma

At the beginning of this summer, five students from Liepaja arrived in Rauma for a work-based learning (WBL) period as part of the Finlat-Logic project funded by Central Baltic programme. The aim of the project is to align parts of WBL curricula of VET programmes of logistics, and to promote partnerships between educational institutions and companies in the Baltic Sea region. The project partners are National Centre for Education of Latvia, Länsirannikon Koulutus Oy WinNova, and Liepaja State Technical School.

Thematic fields which will continue in Central Baltic 2021-2027 programme were discussed in the Annual Event „Bridging the borders and funding periods - results and glimpses towards the future” in September 2021.

Easier travels are forseen from Estonians coming to Helsinki!

Our E-ticketing project just issued a press release about the concrete results they have achieved. In practice, what this means is that those coming to Helsinki (FIN) from Tartu (EE) or Tallinn (EE) can use the application they already have in use pileet.ee to buy tickets for Helsinki public transport.

Ten Central Baltic projects have already ended last year and 10 more will end this Spring only. By the end of 2018, 40 Central Baltic projects will have reached the finishing line.

FinEst link project results

This year many of our projects will end. Among those is FinEst Link - a project that studied the economic and technical feasibility of a fixed link between Helsinki and Tallinn. The project, is presenting its results at its final conference today in Tallinn.
