Where is the Facebook stream?

There is a huge empty spot on our landing page -- right where the stream from the Communication Network for Projects used to be. We have noticed this as well. It appears that due to recent breaches in security, Facebook has made some alterations in how the streams are transmitted. There was no heads-up warning for this and as of now, the stream cannot be displayed. We are currently waiting for more information and hopefully get the link up and running again. ... Read more

A quick overview of our third call projects

The third call, brought to the Central Baltic programme 30 new projects, 23 regular and 7 small. The projects are distributed in all four priorities as follows: 5 in Priority 1, 7 in Priority 2 and 3 and 11 in priority 4 (4 regular and 7 small). At the moment 9 projects from the third call have been contracted, 7 small and 2 regulars.

Our national Contact Points in spotlight

Our national Contact Points are the link between the programme and the regions. They inform about the funding opportunities and provide first information for potential applicants. Contact Points also help with partner search and matchmaking. In addition, they follow projects closely to share/spread project results and communicate the benefits of cross-border cooperation.

Good practices from Central Baltic projects DefenceArch, LightsOn! and St. Olav Waterway

DefenceArch, LightsOn! and St. Olav Waterway, are three of the 97 projects currently founded by the Central Baltic programme and they all belong to specific objective 2.1 — natural resources developed into sustainable tourism attractions. All Central Baltic projects tackle their challenges with cross-border cooperation in mind and DefenceArch, LightsOn! and St. Olav Waterway are a good example of it.

The Monitoring Committee met last week

Last week, between 13-14 November, the Central Baltic programme’s Monitoring Committee (MC) gathered near Tallinn in Estonia. The meeting started with a visit to the NATTOURS project site, where we walked along a new boardwalk constructed by the project in Paljassaare. In Paljassaare we discovered a natural pearl within an urban environment.

Learning from each other

On Monday, a delegation from the Slovenia-Croatia, Slovenia-Hungary and Slovenia-Austria programmes, came to Turku to meet with our Head of the Managing Authority Merike Niitepõld and our IT manager Veli-Pekka Suuronen. The visit focused on the programme and beneficiary use of the eMS. The beneficiary's point of view was represented by the Central Baltic project Baltic Urban Lab.
