The Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020 finances result orientated cross-border cooperation projects in Estonia, Finland (incl Åland), Latvia and Sweden

7th Steering Committee meeting

Last week on 14-15.6 the Steering Committee meeting of the Central Baltic programme met up in Viby Sweden.

The topics on the agenda were:
  • update on the status of the programme implementation
  • the fourth call of the programme,
  • the role and work of the Contac Points and the
  • future of maritime interreg programmes post 2020. 
The discussion of the delegation about this last topic, was concluded with the decision of all the delegates to take concrete steps to support the continuation of Cross-border maritime cooperation also in the next programming period.

As part of the meeting, Elena Negussie from the LiviHeri project accompanied the participants for a tour of Visby whilst explaining what does it mean to live sorrouded by Cultural heritage and what kind of impact the project will have on this topic.

The SC will meet up again next year in Åland during the first week of March, to select for funding 4th call projects.
