Statistics on the first funding decisions

The programme Steering Committee approved 52 (29%) of the 177 project applications submitted in the first call for applications. Out of the approved projects 45 were regular projects approved to continue to the 2nd step application phase and 7 were small projects that will start their implementation once they have fulfilled any conditions set to them and after signing the subsidy contract with the programme.

The competition was hard in all Priorities and Specific Objectives, the success percentage of applications varying between 23% in Priority 2 Sustainable use of common resources and 43% in Priority 3 Well-connected region. Within the Specific Objectives the variation in successful applications is between 17-50%.

The interest was highest and most projects approved (71%) in the Central Baltic Sub-programme. More project applications are expected in the Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme in the future calls.

Funds remain in all Priorities and all Specific Objectives which will all be open for new applications in the second call that will take place 24 August-23 October, 2015.
