Information about the SmartLog project – an Interreg Central Baltic programme project about logistics management – has been spread to 35 countries in Europe. That is the result from having gotten attention in the Assembly of the European Regions network, which is an organisation for 35 countries and 15 interregional organisations on regional development.

On March 28th the AER working group on Transports and Mobility will meet during the “AER 2019 Spring Committee Plenaries” in Örebro, Sweden. Then the project SmartLog will be presented by the Swedish project coordinator Robert Höglund at Region Örebro County.

The SmartLog project aims at optimizing logistics management and services along the EU transport corridors ScanMed and North Sea-Baltic by using blockchain technology to improve solutions regarding transportation, warehousing and cross-dockning etcetera. Örebro County is an important logistics hub in Sweden, and new blockchain tools are now being tested in companies in the region. Lead partner for the SmartLog project is Kuovola Innovation in Finland. Four countries are involved in the project; Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Sweden.

At AER’s website the SmartLog project and the coming-up meeting is high-lighted. Here you can find is AER’s article about the project and the new technology that is being used:
