The Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020 finances result orientated cross-border cooperation projects in Estonia, Finland (incl Åland), Latvia and Sweden

On the first day, we will have a quiz-style programme update, followed by a networking session for all our project stakeholders and a joint dinner.

During day two, along with our projects, we will celebrate the benefits of cross-border cooperation in the region. Estonian politician Tunne Kelam, will deliver a keynote speech about the importance of cross-border cooperation from his point of view, that of someone who has a long career in Estonian politics and has been Member of the European Parliament multiple times. University of Tallinn’s Vice-Rector for research – Katrin Niglas - will continuing on the topic, by talking about EU funded cross-border cooperation at the University of Tallinn. The morning programme will end with the Central Baltic Head of Managing Authority – Merike Niitepõld – talking about the impact of the Central Baltic programme in the region. 

After the plenary, 15 Central Baltic projects will presents their activities and results through an Orienteering Game. In parallel with the orienteering game, our project team will offer last minute application tips to 5th call applicants. This session works on walk-in basis.

The event will end with an afternoon plenary session during which speakers will share with the audience how they have directly benefitted from EU funded Cross-Border Cooperation in this region.
