To celebrate European Cooperation Day (EC Day) 2020, Contact Point Finland organizes a day trip to Vasikkasaari (Helsinki) island in close cooperation with the project URBAN ECO ISLANDS.
Central Baltic project URBAN ECO ISLANDS (2019-2021) is developping Vasikkasaari island in Helsinki and Aegna island in Tallinn into new types of smart nature tourism destinations. The islands are being developed based on the principles of sustainable tourism, taking into account the sensitive archipelago nature. At the same time, the project will examine how experience-based and sustainable tourism can be promoted with new, innovative and smart solutions.
Join our day trip to Vasikkasaari and learn what the project has already by this point achieved in Vasikkasaari. Also, we will hike around the island to learn about it's history and nature aspects, with the help of professional nature guide Jarmo Nieminen. You will also, of course, learn about European cooperation and Central Baltic in general.
This trip is for everyone interested in European cooperation, Central Baltic project results and nature & history in general. This event is free of charge. The event will be in Finnish.

More information coming to participants latest on Monday 21.9.2020.
